Partner and Managing Director, CFA
Rob Boston is a Partner and Morneau Shepell’s Practice Leader for the Investment Consulting group for Ontario and Western Canada. Rob has more than 20 years of investment consulting experience. He has also served as Chief Compliance Officer for Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. (‘MS ARM’), and is now the Company’s Lead Portfolio Manager. Before joining Morneau Shepell, Rob managed a $3.5 billion pension plan for a large financial organization. He has designed, developed and implemented performance measurement and analysis systems for two of Canada’s largest financial institutions. In addition, Rob has developed investment strategies for institutional asset managers and has helped design unique benchmarking strategies for insurance product liabilities. Having authored numerous investment finance articles for industry publications, he is a popular speaker for a variety of organizations. Rob holds an Honours BA degree from McMaster University.

Benoit Labrosse is a Partner and leads the risk management offering in Morneau Shepell’s Asset and Risk Management consulting practice. Benoit has more than 25 years of experience in the field of pension and investments. He has consulted on actuarial, governance, investments and financial risk management for various defined benefit pension plan sponsors by helping develop sustainable or exit strategies for their pension plans. Benoit is also a contributor to the development of intellectual capital in the pension risk area and he has experience in assisting plan sponsors to balance cost and risk through pension journey planning. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and has written numerous articles on pension risk management. Benoit has a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Sciences, is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst and is an Enrolled Actuary under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

Chief Investment Officer
Zev recently joined Morneau Shepell Asset & Risk Management Ltd. (‘MS ARM’), as Chief Investment Officer. For the preceding four years, Zev was Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer with Open Access Ltd., where he was responsible for managing institutional portfolios as well as capital accumulation plans. With more than 35 years of experience in investment management, more than half of which were in senior positions with the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Zev is well versed in all aspects of fund management, including development of policies, strategic and tactical asset allocation, risk management, portfolio construction and selection of external managers. He is also a frequent conference speaker on investment management topics. In 2010, Zev received the Benefits Canada award for outstanding achievement and was recognized as one of Canada's "Top 25 Most Influential Plan Sponsors." Zev is a member of the advisory boards of the Brandes Institute and the Canadian Investment Review and served for five years as a board member and treasurer of a not-for-profit organization.

CPA, CA Head of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer
Mark joined Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. (‘MS ARM’) in January 2015 as Head of Operations and Chief Compliance Officer, bringing 20 years of experience. Mark previously served as Chief Compliance Officer of Burgundy Asset Management Ltd., Head of Compliance and Operational Risk for UBS Global Asset Management Ltd.’s Fund Services business, and as a Compliance Examiner with the Ontario Securities Commission. He began his career at PwC working in the audit practice in Mississauga and the Cayman Islands, and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999. In addition, Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Management Economics and Finance degree from the University of Guelph. Mark also volunteers as the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors for St. Leonard’s Place of Peel.

Managing Partner, Montreal
Jean Bergeron is Managing Partner of Morneau Shepell’s Asset Management practice in Montréal and has more than 25 years of experience in the industry. Jean is also Morneau Shepell’s National Specialist in Asset Management consulting. He advises employers on all aspects of asset and liability management for pension funds, including asset and liability stochastic projections, investment policy review, asset allocation, investment performance, fund manager and custodian selection, governance, and risk studies. Jean graduated from the Université de Montréal with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. He is a Fellow of both the Society of Actuaries and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. Jean is also a CFA Charterholder and a member of the Association des Analystes Financiers de Montréal. Jean is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and has written numerous articles on asset management.

Nicola has more than 25 years of experience in leading sales, servicing and product management teams within the asset management industry. He is responsible for elaborating, implementing and managing the national distribution strategy for Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. as well as providing client focused investment management solutions. Before joining Morneau Shepell Nicola led a team of investment professionals who were responsible for a multi-asset class and multi manager investment fund platform of $18 billion dollars. Nicola is well versed in all aspects of asset management including portfolio construction, risk management and the due diligence of investment fund managers. Nicola has authored articles for industry publications and has participated as a conference speaker in trade industry events. Nicola holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, a Masters of Business Administration degree and he is also a CFA charterholder. He is a member of the Montreal Society of Financial Analysts as well.

Manager Research Associate
Irfan Hassan is a Manager Research Associate with Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. (‘MS ARM’). He has nine years of investment industry experience. Irfan specializes in investment manager research in a variety of asset classes including equities, fixed income and real assets. He is also responsible for assessing investment strategies for inclusion in MS ARM’s outcome-oriented investment solutions. Irfan also has experience consulting to a broad range of Canadian institutions - large and small, defined benefit, defined contribution, and endowments and foundations - assisting them in all aspects of their investments, including creating investment policies, the strategic setting of investment and risk objectives, manager structure, selecting and monitoring investment managers and defined contribution administration service providers. Prior to joining MS ARM, he was an investment consultant for a large global HR advisory consulting firm in Toronto. Senior Investment Analyst
Irteza Cheema is a Senior Investment Analyst with Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. (‘MS ARM’). He has more than five years of experience working with MS ARM and its parent company Morneau Shepell Ltd. Irteza supports investment manager research, asset allocation, investment strategy assessment, performance reporting, client reporting, and other operational initiatives. He also conducts research on economic trends and the market outlook for the firm’s outcome-oriented investment solutions. Prior to joining MS ARM, Irteza worked for a large pension administration outsourcing business, supporting initiatives that included new client implementation and client service. Irteza graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a BA Finance degree and is currently a CFA candidate.

Director, Business Development for Ontario and Central Canada
Peter joined Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. in September 2017 and brings more than 15 years of investment industry experience. Peter began his career in banking and finance in the early 1990s.
He has worked for RBC, CIBC, BDC and Laurentian Bank in areas spanning personal lending, investments, corporate finance, credit and foreign exchange. His career in investments focused on managing relationships with the country’s largest mutual fund and insurance companies. At Laurentian Bank, Peter developed and managed more than 200 such relationships, overseeing a portfolio of $10 billion in assets.

Business Development, Western Canada
Andrew joined Morneau Shepell Asset and Risk Management Ltd. (‘MS ARM’) in July of 2017 as part of the Business Development Team with a focus on Western Canadian Sales efforts, based in Vancouver. He brings over 25 years of experience in the investment business.
Originally from Winnipeg, Andrew began his investment career in Vancouver as an advisor with Odlum Brown. He then worked in Hong Kong for 15 years as a senior equity advisor and was most recently a director at HSBC in their Capital Markets Branch. Andrew also worked In Toronto as a business development consultant for the private equity firm Access Holdings Inc.
Andrew‘s diverse investing experience and extensive client servicing skills will be a great asset to the MS ARM team. Andrew holds an Honours BSC degree in Economics from The University of Manitoba.
